Our representative and your guide will pick you up from the port (infront of cruise exit door, holding a sign of your name) and then start your tour to visit: the Montazah Palace and its Green Gardens. Proceeding to the Catacombs of Kum El Shukafa, which dates back to the early Roman period. It was discovered in 1900 after they had been looking for it for about 12 years. Proceed to see Pompey’s Pillar, which dates back to the 3rd century. It is approximately 25m red Aswan granite column with a circumference of 9m. The column is the last of the remaining relics of the Seraphium Temple.

Continue to Qayetbay citadel, situated on the entrance to Alexandria’s eastern harbour where the place was exact of the famous Lighthouse. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. Lunch at local restaurant.
Move on to the Citadel of Salah El Din and visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbuland built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Over 45 years. Efficient time will be given for souvenir shopping then drive back to Port Said to board your ship.
